How does someone go to "Snooze" status?

I have some friends who go into "Snooze" status; I see it on my friendslist. Why do they go into snooze status? How are they doing that?

and if 2 hours gone and your status is snooze what will happen if you move your mouse will it go to online or will it still say snooze and you should change it to whatever you want?

eh no
it doesn t go to snozze if you aren t on your computer longer than 2 hours, you just go on friendslist, click on online and change to snozze

Thanks for the bumps, lol. New question, what about for the steam mobile app? If I'm not on the steam app on my phone, but I am logged in, what status does it say? Will I be away or on snooze?
