How do I get Steam items in my inventory?

I want to sell some items but I cannot do because they are non-tradeable. I would like to know how to get tradeable items.

Depending on the game and the item you can aquire tradeable items. For instance a lot of the trading cards are tradeable and you can sell them for cash on the steam store page.

Well if you are looking to sell them in the Steam Market, it is the "marketable" trait you are looking for, actually. Marketable items include Steam Trading Cards, profile backgrounds, and Steam emoticons. Trading cards are obtained from games that support this feature while the backgrounds and emoticons are obtained from crafting badges (which is obtained through getting all the trading cards for a game).
Some game-specific items are also marketable too. For Team Fortress 2, vintage, strange, genuine, and unusual items are marketable with some exceptions.
