Report a translation problem
1. Open the Steam library.
2. Right-click on the name of the game and select "Properties...".
3. On the "Local Files" tab, select "Create a backup copy of game files ...".
4. Check the boxes for those games for which you want to create backups.
5. Click "Next >".
6. Select the folder where you want to back up the files (by default, the files will be created in C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\Backups) and click "Next >".
7. Specify the backup file name and file size for the media you plan to burn it to.
Click "Next >" to start the process.
8. After completion, select "Open Archive Folder" to move or burn backup files to removable media.

This meathod no longer works for multiple games. You can only do one game a time with this method. There are no longer any boxes to check multiple games.
There are other ways to do multiple games but none are as easy as this method "used to" be.
Sorry for the news.
Valve turned off backups for multiple games when they updated the UI last year.
