steam recording share links not working in firefox

as i've said in the title, when using a share link on a saved steam recording, the embed of said link refuses to play the video, when opening the link in a new tab it simply says "no video with supported format and mime type found" i've tried to look for a solution for quite a bit but i still can't find one that actually works, any ideas?

oh btw im sure this is a firefox issue because when i tried the same link in chrome it magically decided to work
