Steam- Purchase Pending

"Your purchase is still being processed - Steam will notify you when the transaction has been completed. Until then, the game is not available to play.

Not sure what to do, this is my first steam account, I literally just made it yesterday to buy this game (Final Fantasy XIV ARR). I had tried buying the game through Square Enix, which was a horrible mess. So I decided to just buy the game on Steam as well. On my bank online statement it says I've already paid, yet I can't install the game because the above message keeps coming up. Any ideas on how to fix this and download the game.

Late response, it finally worked itself out, I submitted a ticket because the purchase had send pending, but on my bank statement it said it had already cleared, anyway in the end it worked out. Right after I submitted the ticket the game decided it wanted to go through and download. All is fine now :D

Just had this issue too for no apparent reason. It was pending for a while. Now I got an email from Steam: "There was an error with a recent Steam purchase." Yes, that's very ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ informative. It was a Paypal transaction with my credit card. Yet, Paypal shows no record of it even being attempted. I don't want to call the credit card ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ unless I know for sure that's where the problem is, and those ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ were supposed to email me if they stop any transactions. No email from them.

For anyone having this issue in the future and it IS NOT pending with your bank or PAYPAL, all you need to do is go to the link that 76561193857876471 provided above to access your account, click on purchase history, and click the pending purchase. If it is possible you can cancel at that page and repurchase immediately, worked for me. Hope this helps

I have the same problem, but I can't fkn cancel it!! It's been two days and not a single answer. I'm so pissed!!

did you read anything in this thread before you posted? or did you just randomly necro something for no reason...

check the date of a thread first, READ IT before you post in it.

check your purchase to see if its complete or pending. Pending means it is not complete, you havent paid for the game yet, steam hasnt taken your money yet. the bank is holding your money.

if it completes, everything go thru as normal. if its fails, the money is still held by your bank and gets freed up after a few days, the money never leaves the account if the transaction fails.
