What does the tag "4x" stand for?
I am new to PC gaming and I like a lof of strategy games. I see this tag a lot on games that I think I may like, but I have no clue what it means.

4X is a genre of strategy-based video and board games in which players control an empire and "eXplore, eXpand, eXploit, and eXterminate".
