P.S. As far as your nickname goes, I'd advice against that*. It's against the Steam Subscriber Agreement, unless your shared means Family Sharing, or by using the Family View -feature.
Alternativly there si some jobs need to be done to add your alt into your friends list
1. Login to your alt. Join a Group lets say 'Steam Universe'
2. Log in to main join the same group, go to memebrs --> serch, find your alt, send a friend request.
3. Go to alt, accept it.
Viola.
But you won't be abble to sent friends requests from alt anyway
To further clarify.
Retail licenses used to count before December 2014. The limitations weren't set retroactively; so those who were unlimited before December 2014, stayed unlimited.
DOTA 2 beta -license for example was a retail license and therefore was an adequate license for the unlimitation process. Now it's compulsory; and now the policy explicitly states it requires a Steam Store or Gift/Guest Pass -license.
No. Read the Terms of use.
