I've had some trouble with Downloading / making mods work for Skyrim in the days I still played it. (130 something mods) The mods I had problems with always came from Steam, which is were I assume you got yours. What I did to make everything work as it should was to remove the mods I had downloaded through Steam and instead get them from www.nexusmods.com instead (I am unsure if this counts as advertising =L (Please enlighten me on that matter and I'll remove the link if neccesary)) by using the launcher you can get from there.

It also helps using a software called "BOSS" (I don't remember what the name is short for, but anyways) "BOSS" looks through what mods you have installed for the game you choose it to check and puts the mods in the right load order and helps prevent mod conflicts.

But to summarize everything. Using the website I specified for you and their launcher will get rid of most (if not all) problems you have / will have for the future, and the "BOSS" software will remove most mod conflicts. (There will be times when it won't fix all, but thats very rare)

Be sure to tell me if there was parts of my post that you didn't understand so that I can explain in another way. (English is not my primary language so I appoligize for any confusion you might have reading this) You could also message me whenever I'm online if some other problems arises with Skyrim and mods =P

Take care and I hope your mod problems will be sorted out.

Acctually Nexus is free =P It's just a bit hard to find where the download for the launcher is . I thought the same when I first found out about Nexus =P

As far as I know, Nexus and Steam are the only places that are safe to get Skyrim mods from.

http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/modmanager/?
Above is the link for the Launcher, (just click on the green button which coresponds to the OS you are using.)

The site itself and the launcher is free, but if you want to upp the download speed then you can pay for the upgrade which will get you some extra perks at the site, but it is not neccesary to pay anything at all.

http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/users/premium/?
The link above will show you the perks you can get by "donating" or buying a premium upgrade.

So to summarize; The site and the launcher is free, no need to pay for anything, but the site itself can be a hassle to understand if you aren't familiar with it.

If you require any assistance with the site feel free to ask =) (The site isn't "easy" to use, but it's not too bad =P )

(I know it might sound like I'm trying to push you towards Nexus and I appologize for that. )

On a different note; I'll check if there are other sites where you can download mods =P I'll inform you if I find any that looks trustable.

Take care.

OHH..okay, but i found the problem, Skyrim was outdated, the version was 1.0, the current version is 1.9. So, im installing the updates now, could that be why it wasn't working? I mean, my other computer was updated and that worked so, i'll just wait and see, if it doesn't work, i'll install the nexus mod manager

I came across the solution, well by "accident" it's quite simple actually you just need to leave your skyrim launcher open for about 5-10min depending on the amount of mods you dowloaded, after 5-10min check your data files and your mods should probably appear there you just need to mark the box in all of them and enjoy playing ;)
Worked for me hope it works for you too

What i did was restart my laptop and check for any updates. I also had to delete all of my mods. :(

Do I have to do that every time I want to play Skyrim? That isn't fair

yeah it's been a while, but i think i reinstalled skyrim and that worked. I also recommend downloading mods from nexus and installing them manually by replacing the .bsa and .esp files in your skyrim data folder. Try doing that first, and if it still fails to work, reinstall the game.

wow.. not to be to blunt... but that is horrible advice.
Use a mod manager.
Make sure you have the requirements.
Make sure you use LOOT and know how to use TESVedit..

Manual install is a skill, that requires much much suffering to learn to do..

Also there are a lot of places to safely get mods. And get them free.. NEXUS is by far the most popular.. but if you can hang with figuring out Japanese page setups.. and how to understand what kind of mod it is.. you can find some of the best ever there.
