I never chose anything when exiting it. I press Esc enough times until the closing panel pops up.

If you just happen to click on big picture and want out, its 2 clicks. If you clicked on something once, its 3 clicks. It highly depends on why you want to exit it. Also much faster to spam a single button, than having to go to each button through any kind of controller or mouse movement. Thats what I mean.

Most people go into BPM hitting the guide button on a controller.

I actually read more often about people hitting it instead of the minimize button or clicking on it when wanting to close steam in the system tray.
