Spacewar?!?!!

Hello, I just logged in onto my steam account and saw a game spacewar on my profile. I never played this game and know nothing about it. I searched about it and it said it has to do something with a ''pirated'' game. I did download one game but i deleted it like 10 minutes after. Can i somehow remove this thing spacewar now?

Spacewar is more a tool designed for developers for help with the steam client itself as a real game.
The fact that some outsider folks and groups use it for pirating purproses doesn't means its dangerous to own it. If it would be the case, Valve would have removed it.

And since its free-to-play and Valve participated in making it, we basically all own it. Go to your account details and remove the subscription, if you don't want it at all.

No its not dangerous to own it. But you can remove it here

I don't have any free-to play games, so I don't see myself, but as I know there should be a "remove" option by the free ones.

I can't remove it cuz it isnt in my game library.. Only can see it on my profile like played 0.1 hours

Then play some other games and it will go away from your activity. Steam always remembers the last 3 games activated/played.

Spacewar is also used by many cracked games to allow multiplayer to work in them. Chances are you played a cracked game with steam running, no biggie, alot of us do it and nothing bad will happen to your account but if you are worried then make a second steam account for cracked games.

Encouraging piracy is against the discussion rules.

In addition to that, necroposting is frowned upon.

Spacewar! is a legitmate game (being one of the world's first multiplayer games) and is also something for Steamworks developers can use to test out their software. But sadly, some people use it for piracy due to the fact that it can support multiplayer and because it disguises the pirated game as Spacewar!

Don't worry about it unless you sailed the seven seas. I have Spacewar! installed on my computer in hopes that I can play it with somebody one day but of course, nobody is online and it's just a bunch of pirates and cracked servers.
