My windows 10 is 64 bit but stream bootstrap is only 32 bit?
Why is this?
Can it be made to be 64 bit?

Thanks

When did you install steam?
I read somewhere if it's before 32bit update you will still have 32bit elements and I found this:
"News - Steam Client Update Released" https://store.steampowered.com/news/43351/

*Is there a reason you need 64bit bootstrapper?

I also read that there /maybe/ no speed gains, it will still be compatible, it's trying to run 64 bit software in 32-bit OS where you can run into problems.

===Try this
If you don't have any game installed yet(or small file sizes or you have fast internet, skip step 1)

Step1
(backup your top 2/3 games)
If it's before they updated backup the top three games you play the most (using the backup feature in steam) Preferably to an ssd.

Step 2:
uninstall steam, redownload client
Then download the new steam client.
- Install steam.

Hell, it's only a launcher and game client with a showroom... I don't see why there is a fuss...!

As long as it does it's job and launches my games in a timely manner...
I really wish I could completely by-pass the Bugger!!!

Some games don't use the SteamDRM and can be played without Steam altogether.
