Buying a game - both MacOS and Windows versions?
Hi,
If I buy a game, is it going to be available to me for both MacOS and Windows? I have two machines, I dont mind if the game wouldnt be available at the same time.
Tks,

No. You'll have to purchase two games - one for each computer. The operating systems are different, so you can't use the same game on both systems. It's the same thing as a PlayStation game will not work on a Xbox console. Also, I'm not aware of any game that sells both versions in the same package (although there may be some rare game out there somewhere that you'll find that). You'll have to buy two separate games.
you buy a license that is attached to the account. if the game is available in both OS's, you only need the one game license for the account. it should download and run on your mac and your windows depending on which computer you are using.

playstation not running on an xbox is a completely different thing.
The link shows MacOS games plus whether there is also a Windows version.

Actually there is. It is video games on Steam that support both Mac and Window OS.

You can't buy it again if the game support both OS.

^ This is right.
if you are using a Mac...WHEN YOU open steam on the compouter...it should detect a MAC
(being a windows users...one day i went to a web page USING A MAC) AND WHEN I DOWNLOADED THE PROGRAM...IT DOWNLOADED THE 'MAC' VER of the program...but the gui of the 'mac' ver of the program was 'close' to windows---

note 2---most programs 'cross link' between mac and windows (cross link meaning they can be open in EITHER COMPUTER...perfect example, a 'word perfect file save on a mac, can be open as a MS WORD file on window.......! FOOD FOR THOUGH)
