Game doesn't launch - Assassin's Creed: Odyssey
Had AC: Odyssey on gamepass and ubisoft connect, tried the steam version, it doesn't launch
I've been playing Assassin's Creed: Odyssey for a while now on xbox game pass/ubisoft connect on PC, and just bought the steam game, I downloaded the steam game, and uninstalled the game pass version, but now when i try to load the game on steam it just doesn't open, i've tried the "verify files integrity" but it didn't work.

could you explain what the verifying files did? was there any files that were corrupted? or was "it didn't work" means the file integrity check didn't find any issues?

One thing that might be causing issues is, that you've played on a different platform and the old save or ini files in the my documents folder are still pointing to the game pass version (strong MIGHT)

Hey, the verify files couldn't find any issues.
Good news is that i got the game running by running the .exe a bunch ou times and somehow i manage to import my save files and my achievements from ubisoft to steam by copying the files from a folder named 50 something to another 50 something folder.
