how to stop getting live twitch pop ups

not intrested in twitch or streaming my games or watching other stream games not intrested and i find it intrucive how do i stop the constant over stimulation and still play the games iI paid for. i didnt pay to use this stupid steam thing i paid for games . i hate steam interface i hate big picture . its unstable and resorce and pwoer consuming and now i am forced to join another social media i want nothing to do with just to play a game.
i am upset i and everyone else is paying money to be told how things work best for them be it true or not. i just want off all this auot join social media becuase i joinbed this i want to not be intrupted by live streams poping up and taking bandwith i am tired of having tounplug my internet totally to play off line on my computer instead of the cloud i am tired of steam crashes . and i just want to play the games my husband and i bought . i dont care whos account its onm. its for both of us not just one of us. how do i get this junk to work for me again instead of controling me?

I have never been interrupted on steam for broadcasts, twitch or anything like that, where are you getting these popups, the only thing i get on steam during a game is achievement unlocks, i disabled big picture and that never pops up. Steam is also very stable compared to other launchers. you may have paid for the games but you only own a licence to play the game, the steam client is needed to run the game, you accept this every time you sign into steam.
