Yeah I see that a lot on steam 24/7 even in the steam friend train forum as well. Bunch of jerks online, It can also make it hard to make friends and also depending on your age and age group of others you wanna game with and looking for.. I'm a really nice gamer on steam.

the internet is often used by people to let out their frustrations.
ignore them, because the are a lot of nice people too.
just look at this forum. people are helping each other by solving problems and answering questions.
just be positive yourself and you will atract the same kind of people.

I totally agree I know it’s hard for me to find friends online due to my austism and it’s one of the reasons I barely use voice chat or my mic in games. It’s why usually when I see a party invite on Xbox that’s from someone that friended me. I don’t join not to be rude but cause of being nervous or fear the person might not like my voice or think I might be annoying since due to my adhd I like to talk a lot and have a habit of talking to myself out loud.
