Translation of games into Belarusian.
Good day. I have been tormented by one question for a long time. How can I add the Belarusian language to steam and dota2. Since I lived in Belarus, and now I live in Canada. There are two official languages in Belarus: Russian and Belarusian. But in connection with recent events, most people in Belarus switch only to Belarusian. I am ready to find a team to translate into Belarusian. what should I do next?

Well you could get a job at a translation service, or start your own. Translation is a complicated thing and not a lot of games or software easily allow users to add their own language translations.

If you do the former, you know how to look for a job, right? If the latter, you'll have to learn the ins and outs of the business.

And Belarusian just may not make up a significant demographic to (always) warrant translation. It can be expensive so decisions have to be made about what games to translate into what languages.

Valve crowd sources translations for Steam and Valve titles by the community. The link I posted above is where they accept crowd sourced translations after they shut down the old Translation Server back in 2021.
