I'm new to Steam and need help

I'm really wanted to broadcast the games that I play and I was wondering how do I go about doing that because I tried to Google it and like always, Google didn't help me any. So if you could help me out that would be very greetful.

ok so you wanna press SHIFT and TAB when you start up your game

then go yo the SETTINGS i think the new layout has the cog at bottom right somewhere

then when clicked that you wanna click the BROADCAST options

then you just click the option to BROADCAST = where it says 'not broadcasting' << just click that bit and BOSSSSSSHHHHHHHHHHH you're broadcasting

i do it sometimes but only because when i did it all the time nobody watched

When I try and do that it comes up with "Your account does not have sufficient privileges to broadcast live streams

That is probably because you need to spend more than either £5 or $5 to unlock all account privileges, it's something like that anyway.

This is not true.

What are the account requirements for broadcasting?

Accounts that meet the following requirements are able to broadcast games:

• Have made a purchase on Steam and are therefore non-limited accounts
  
• Are not currently Community Banned

I think that I figured it out. I just had to sign out and then right back in. Now I just have to figure out how to do videos

You will need third party software for that as Steam does not offer a recording option.

OBS is a pretty popular tool (and free!) for recording and/or streaming.

do you have the facility on win10 for holding down the 'Windows' key and pressing 'G' ??

you can broadcast your game stream on Steam and if use microphone can broadcast voice too but i think to record video you will need to arrange appropriate setting in your 3rd party video suite of choice
