Steam will stop running on windows 7
I don't want Windows 10, tried it on a laptop & hate it. I paid for games via Steam & should not be prevented from using them! OK you could block new purchases after Jan1st 2024, but you don't have the right legally to block access to games I've already paid for!!!

the bootlicking mentality on a lot of these posts is truly insane to me. There will undeniably be some people who, for whatever reason, are unable to update their OS and will lose access to games that they've paid for and that have had no trouble running on their systems prior. To defend this action because it's not technically illegal is unconscionably stupid.

To completely block a person from their games, the user in question wouldn't be able to access their games regardless of what they do.

So OP's original claim of legality, and theft, are false.

What you just mentioned is defined according to the use of steam, that your account, with everything tied in it has been deleted.

You are merging the word "block" with "elimination". As far as the legal term is concerned, I am not an international judge or lawyer, but I can tell you that this is not the first "similar case" to arise, where you are wrong.
Good continuation.
So that's why when they removed win2k/xp support, they got sued right? There's no case here, just people being stubborn.

Valve dropping XP/Vista support had nothing to do with any court case.

:qr:
Well this is awful news. All that I invested with my money will be useless in January. Nice

And there wasn't one when they dropped it. Just like any "case" people trying to claim there is here, won't likely happen.

You can literally upgrade to Win10 for free in some instances, and others...the OS is pretty cheap.

If not that, then there's always linux.

What are the instances I can "upgrade" for free in the US?

Have Win7/8. You can upgrade free. At least, as of Dec last year you could. Plus, you can get copies of the OS pretty cheap if you can't.

"""?!?!? To write a similar sentence, either you are an executive in the marketing and finance industry, or whatever the name that runs the Valve-Steam legal sector, or you are a seer to say that they have not received anything you have written. Which one would you be?"""

Obviously it was a rhetorical question the last written, to which I do not care about any of your answers.
What I had to say, I wrote in one of my previous texts and in these last.

As I wrote before,
Good continuation.

I just hope Steam grant permanent access to all the games purchased from them before 2024 (as in not needing to log on to Steam to use them) before they Block win 7 & 8 users..

Wouldn't this be better suited aired by one of the "many audio stations" you apparently control around the world?
