Steam will stop running on windows 7

I don't want Windows 10, tried it on a laptop & hate it. I paid for games via Steam & should not be prevented from using them! OK you could block new purchases after Jan1st 2024, but you don't have the right legally to block access to games I've already paid for!!!

the bootlicking mentality on a lot of these posts is truly insane to me. There will undeniably be some people who, for whatever reason, are unable to update their OS and will lose access to games that they've paid for and that have had no trouble running on their systems prior. To defend this action because it's not technically illegal is unconscionably stupid.

Not every one as money to update the OS. I guess they dont care about it and about the people. People spend their money to be able to play and now they dont be able to is behond reason. Maybe game companys can make them come to see the problem , because many players will go to play pirated games if they cant play on steam. Steam people think about it dont be like that.

That's bulls**t and you know it. Why should I be forced to pay $100 for a new OS that has many features I dislike to play games that I've already paid for. What everyone seems to forget is that when you created your account you effectively signed a digital contract.
The Steam ToS even states that service may be removed for ANY reason.
Steam also is not at fault as it is Microsoft, the people who make the Windows OS and Google who make the Chromium system that Steam runs on have both decided to stop supporting anything before Windows 10/11.
You all need to grow up and realize that the world does not revolve around you and that complaining gets you nothing.

I do completely agree! when i bought any of Steam games NO WHERE it said if there is a new OS your PURCHASED games will be blocked until you update your OS! there was NEVER such agreement! STEAM have no right to force people to do ANYTHING that they didnt agreed too! doesn't matter if the customer choice is bad or good!
