Can I accept steam giftcard in russia?

My friend can gift me a steam giftcard but he is not from russia and he's in Netherlands. Will I be able to redeem it in russia?

You can not redeem a physical gift card from the Netherlands.

Your friend can try to send you a digital gift card through Steam.

Yes, you have to accept it.

The money will be converted to your currency and added to your Steam wallet.


I don't know if there are any restrictions on sending digital gift cards to Russia because of the war. Just try it out .
