global shader cache file? *New Steam Player
Hey I am new to Steam and bought this game. It's Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order. I am getting this message that says: The global shader cache file 'C:/Program Files (x86)/Steam/steamapps/common/Jedi Fallen Order/Engine/GlobalShaderCache-PCD3D_SM4.bin' is missing. (End of 1st paragraph). Your application is built to load COOKED content. No COOKED was found; This usually means you did not cook content for this build. It also may indicate missing cooked data for a shader platform(e.g., OpenGL under Windows): Make sure your platform's packaging settings include this Targeted RHI. (End of 2nd paragraph). Alternatively build and run the UNCOOKED version instead. (End of 3rd paragraph). That is the whole message I am receiving word for word when I try to start up this game. I am new to PC gaming and would like to get into COD War zone and do all my future gaming online. I wish there was a step by step direction of what I need to do in order to load my game and start playing. I have a lot to learn though. If anyone knows what I need to do, please help me out and send me some instructions for any installations, downloads I need to make. And hey maybe we can be friends and game together because I'm pretty good. Thanks! -John
