I bought TWO accounts for Gmod....

I bought GMod over a year ago. I have two computers and I have always had it on one. My son plays it all the time and asked me to install it on the other computer so we could play together, at the same time. I did that and bought a new GMod account AFTER it was installed on my second computer. My question is this, did I need to buy a second copy for both of us to play on two separate computers, in the same household, at the same time? Someone told me that I didn't have to do that. I am confused. Please help and thanks.

you need two copies to play it at the same time, you can use family sharing to download it on two different steam account but then you cant play it at the same time.

Do you mean you created a new Steam account and bought GMod on it? If so, that will work.

Yes. I did that. I was told it that I didnt need to buy the game again but I just wanted to be sure that I didnt spend my money when I didnt have too. :)

You do if you want to play at the same time, so don't worry. Family sharing, as mentioned above, can only use one account at a time.

if you are talking about family sharing, if you are going to be playing it together, it will not work, and honestly family sharing is a ♥♥♥♥♥ to set up and is very annoying, if you bought the game again on a second account, then you are being charged, if that is what you are saying.
