Games that can be fun without tryharding :)
I'm looking for some extremely fun games that can be picked up easily and be played that way similarly. What I mean is, I dont want a game where I have to go through hours of grinding to get to the REAL meaty fun of the game, the kind of game(s) I'm looking for is something user friendly. Any frustrating game/game that requires stupid amount of time to enjoy (Like Dark Souls) is not what I'm looking for. It can be action, fps, adventure, whatever, I just want a variety of suggestions :) (Keep in mind, your suggestions don't have to be on Steam, as long as I can play them on the PC or Xbox 360)
Basically I'm just tired of feeling like I'm working to have fun in a game. I just wanna enjoy the experience :P
(Really the only type of games I'm not interested in are Racing games or extremely pixelated games, just not my style that's all, I have nothing against those genres.)
Games I've played and liked(PC): Skyrim, Terraria, Left4Dead, Any non-grindy mmo like Dragon Nest+Neverwinter or LOTRO, The Walking Dead, Any story adventure like Gone Home or Dreams, Fable 3, Any typical fps like Battlefield+COD+Counter Strike, Age of Empires 1&2, League of Legends, Guild Wars 2, Amnesia: The Dark Decent, etc.

Thank you in advance. c:

Edit:
Games I haven't played but I think I would probably enjoy: CS:GO, DayZ, Tomb Raider, The Wolf Among Us, Crea, etc
Also take a look at my wishlist for other games I think I would probably like

Have you tried the Mass Effect series? It's a hybrid RPG/FPS and they have the first two on Steam. The series has an incredibly strong storyline up until the debatable end of 3.

Multiple unique classes
Party members with actual storyline and chances at romance
TONS of sidequests
Port your character to the next game after you finish the prior
A lot of other stuff that I can't think to list because I'm too tired

There are a lot of cliches in the storyline and romance paths, though, and for the first game the side quests are VERY samey.

Yeah, that is definitely a good suggestion. Is there any way to like, you know, skip the sex scenes?

It's been such a long time since I've played that I couldn't even tell you. They don't show nudity, nor or they long, though. Sorry I couldn't give you a more detailed answer

Serious Sam games. Very fast-paced and extremely fun. If you're not into hard games, like Dark Souls you mentioned, then don't even try playing this game on any higher difficulty than Normal. It's gonna be harder than DS and it will spoil the fun away.
Also, if you want the games you're looking for to have some exotic locations and not be monotone, I suggest starting directly with Serious Sam 2. It's gonna guide you from jungles through volcanos, from medieval sky-islands to futuristic cities. I had a lot of fun playing it :)
Killing Floor
Serious Sam
Payday 1/2
Dead Island
I am alive
Outlast
Smite
Nether
Warframe

Have fun u.u

The Borderlands games and their DLC's... apart from the first game's arena based DLC 'Mad Moxxi's Underdome Riot' which is a ridiculous grindfest.

Drox Operative. Easy to learn, can play in short bursts or long gaming session, and insanly fun to play. I suggest playing the demo. It does give you full game, but cant level up your starship until I think level 7.
