I'd personally recommend perhaps some RTS (real-time strategy) games -- they keep the brain active, and on the game instead of other things.
With your machine, you'll be able to play a large range of games, but you might need to tone down the graphics depending on the engine/game itself and the resolution you're playing at -- which isn't a problem to do! I've had a laptop while travelling with lesser specifications than your machine and still able to play games perfectly fine.
Additionally, this isn't a Steam recommended game, but you could check out Blizzard's new game called Overwatch -- it's like playing in an animated movie. :-)
