Whats the best way to name a steam account?

Struggling to come up with a name for a new steam account. Whats the best way of going about this?

Obviously using my own name would be a security risk, so do I just name it something random, or is using words too risky? Do I just use letters, symbols and numbers in a random sequence?

Any advice appreciated.

The account name can be anything. The password is what really counts.

Whatever you name the account, just remember you can't change it later. So careful in what you name it. Don't make the account name public. No one should know what you name it. The profile name can be anything and changed whenever.

So would using my own name be alright, or is that a bit of a security risk?

I'm confident I can make the password difficult to decipher, and I'm planning on using 2 step security with the app.

Real names are a bit risky, yes. Nicknames only you know would be better.

I don't use actual names in any account I create. I don't want anything coming back to me or those that I love, but that's me. Every time I have to create an account on any platform, I ask myself can this be traced back to me and mine. Again thats just me.

I was thinking the same thing, I use Roboform myself. I used to use KeyPass but had issues with it and changed to Roboform years ago. Most of the companies I work for won't even support KeyPass.
