Dota 2 missing in library

I have been playing Dota 2 last night with no issues whatsoever then I went to sleep. But now I find out that Dota 2 was removed from my library but the game files are still installed and was never deleted. I read posts that I need to reinstall the game but ♥♥♥♥ me my Local Disk C is full and cannot download Dota 2 because it already has Dota 2 files on it. I am getting frustrated by this ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ steam app that automatically removes games in library when there is an update. Any suggestions? I have a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ internet with limited data budget per month so 21GB is so heavy for me.

I guess what you can try is try using the backup and restore option . restore game and then locate the dota 2 files . it might recognize them and bring it back to library .

if game sharing though family they remove you then the games will not be their but you will keep the files but then if download own game of it the files will not work on it i tried on a game i family shared once and it not worked unless something changed where the files will work good luck

we only have 1 pc and my family has no idea about steam let alone game sharing

i havent back up'ed the dota 2 game before so i dont have the option to restore it

Usually happens when you incorrectly exit Steam.

Installed games are appearing as uninstalled

i always exit steam correctly bro

just go install it again it will scan your dota 2 and verify it and it will be installed succesful

i cant install it again because my steam file is in my drive c and lacks disk space when downloading. if i download it on my drive d, that means i gotta download another 28 gb worth of dota which is kind of redundant
