Stop cheating, its not fun for you and not fun for the people you play against, you make the game unplayable!

I understand your frustration. The increase on cheaters since CS:GO went F2P is definitely a problem, but to say that Valve is too dumb to make their anticheat better is just ignornant. The way VAC works is that it marks the offending account, and instead of banning them right away, holds off for a bit then bans that account along with other cheaters in a ban wave.

While that might seem stupid, it actually makes the cheat makers job a bit harder. If Valve were to ban a cheater immediately upon detection, then all the cheat maker would need to do is go into to the code of their cheat, figure out what caused the detection, then release an updated version. Which would then feed back into the problem. By holding off the bans for a little bit, the cheat makers won't know if their cheat was detected or not until the ban wave. At that point, the cheat makers will have a harder time figuring out what part of the cheat got detected, on top of the anticheat also receiving an update, which throws another wrench in the system of the cheat makers.

"But what about people who cheat that don't get VAC banned?"

That's where overwatch comes in.

No idea, Valve does them at random. If they were scheduled then cheat makers would have a better chance at avoiding the wave and having their cheat do what it was designed to do for longer.
