Reinstalled games didn't keep saved progress.
Hey everyone, I reinstalled all my games on another computer. Two games did not preserve the saved files through the cloud: CSGO and GTA V. I cannot figure out how to retrieve these files or if I will even be able to. Is there a pathway I can access to try to find the saved files from when they were installed on another device? Thanks in advance.

1st, ensure cloud is enabled for both games on both PCs.

2nd, https://store.steampowered.com/account/remotestorage

If you however still want to access, local cloud files, you'd need to go to the following areas.

PC (Windows): C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\userdata Mac: ~/Library/Application Support/Steam/userdata Linux: ~/.local/share/Steam/userdata

The userdata folder will contain unique Steam IDs [Steam ID 32], which correspond to the Steam accounts that have logged in on that machine.

You can find your Steam ID 32 with: https://steamid.io/lookup

Within the Steam ID folders are the respective games associated with those Steam accounts, listed by appID.

The following example is for Dota 2 (appID 570)

Steam\userdata\[steamID]\570\

Important note(s): CS:GO should automatically sync information to Steam Cloud; but note that local CFG files are not synced to cloud.

GTA V doesn't utilize Steam Cloud sync; and only syncs via Rockstar social club (cloud) that is IF you have it configured to do this.

If you had stuff configured to save files locally, you'd want to go here...

C:\ProgramData\Socialclub\YOURUSERNAME

Well at least 2 out of 4 arent complete ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ idiots. Thank you. I checked but neither of the games are listed. The cloud was enabled for both devices so I'm not sure why they arent showing up.
