if i purchase the base version of a game...

and in the future id like to upgrade to the ultimate do i have to pay full price for the ultimate version or would i just pay the price difference between the base version and the ultimate version?

thanks...thats the bundle i was looking at for AC so i would assume its going to be the same for ACC
