Removing Old back-up Codes?
I recently received an email that was not from me that a set of back up codes were generated. I was alarmed as this would be a threat to the security of my account. I quickly changed my password however those back-up codes are still in play. is there a way to remove a set of back-up codes to destroy the ability to log into my account without my steam guard?

Yes, just generate new backup codes. And find out how someone was able to enter your account, changing your password may not be enough.

It is confirmed that generating a new set of codes will remove the old set?

Yes. That is what generating new ones does.
