Steam Anonymity
How can i create a new Discussion without revealing my identity. i.e how can I make an Anonymous post?

I mean they can see my name and see my profile. I want to ask something that I don't want my steam friends to see.

You can change your visible username at your will. Its not rocket science.
Also if I would search "Shobu" there would be probably thousands of you anyways. But the posts will be linkeds to one account, so - remember kids, you cannot hide your sins.

As Kisaragi said you can post by changing your name. For games you can use Hide for them ok? I understand that "MANY" people on Steam have "dirty laundry/ Stuff that they will be embarassed about myself included".

Eh..aren't we all anonymous? I mean, I doubt anyone is stupid enough to use personal information in their usernames or profiles (or at least, information they want private...I know some are cool with people knowing their first names).

They aren't asking about that. They have friends on their account and for whatever reason they don't want them to see or know they are asking the question.

If their friends stumble upon the forum post, it's a one button click to check if that was their friend or someone else with the same name. They want it anonymous to the point that they can't know it was their friend that posted it.

The only way to do it is to use a different account that can't be traced by normal users back to the persons normal account.
