Counter-Strike is a great first person shooter franchise.
CS:GO has its pros and cons.
It's however recommended by many and I recommend it as well.
I play Quake more often than not.
Quake Live is what I mainly play now and that's a fast paced FPS game that requires a lot of dexterity.
It's something to try but the player base is very small and most players are old players so if you jump right into a match, it'll be a nightmare.
Quake Champions is now popular and is something to consider.
Terraria(literally better at minecraft in fighting and adventure)
Cities Skylines(better than simcity)
Planet coaster (55% off today) and its kinda better graphics of rollercoaster tycoon
Banished(wait for the 75% sale)
Abzu(it is good)
Subnautica(good crafting game)
Firewatch(walking simulator)
Dont Starve(good survival game)
Fallout 4(good survival game)/(rpg game)
Ark Survival evolved(full of grinding but good graphics)
Euro Truck Simulator(you are a driver of a different truck)
Farming simulator 17 ( you have your own farm)

It's a round based lobby shooter. You join a server with a maximum of 100 players, you run around shooting people until everyone is dead and then that's it, the game is over until you join another server and start all over.
It doesn't have the persistence or progression that most survival games do.
