what are the benefits of steam?
I am kind of new to the whole gaming platform thing and I really want to know what are the advantages of buying a game from steam over buying a game from amazon?? I am genuinely curious

To be honest, not much. Most likely the game you'll buy from Amazon will require to be activated on one DRM platform or another. Be it Steam, Ubisoft UPlay, EA's Origin, Epic Game Store or similar.

Steam makes it easy to manage your games and play with your friends.

1. Easy to organize games
2. Sale
3. Amazon will never do these sales and sometimes charges more
4.Steam lets you stay connected with people that you have gamed with
also to this is the bonus you might see they play a game you play
5. You can back up all saved data on to steam
6. Steam makes it easy to use a control, most games you just plug it in unlike amazon where you can run into issues
7. After you buy your first game there are a lot of free to play

but lets be honest the deals on here are the best. Like if your into the games with a lot of DLC then its just a better deal. Were you are going to pay full price at amazon. Then again steam doesnt have all games soooooo to choose one is silly :)

1. Wait for GoG's new client.

2. Sales are far better on other sites... https://isthereanydeal.com/

3. Publishers set the prices on Steam and on Amazon. Amazon has many sales that match or better the ones here.

4. Refer to #1.

5. You can do that on all 6 of the other clients as well. Not just Steam.

6. You keep bringing up Amazon when 90% of the digital games sold there are keys for the other 6 PC game platforms. You don't need their own game downloader.

7. You don't even need to purchase any games on Steam. A ton are already free 2 play and there are dozens of games given away for free on Steam and through other various legit game sites all year long. I even have an alt account with over 250 games I got for free over the years, not including the free 2 play games I have also added to that account.

Too be honest, the link on #2 is not a games distribution platform, but just a key seller. Some of the keys people buy are disabled by the game publishers. Some keys are sold to them by people who buy games with stolen credit cards.

The collection of sites listed in that site are all legit retailers and you will not have issues with revoked keys or banned keys like the other, more shady sites they do not list.

I would say that steam is the best platform so far. The cloud saves, season sales and such make it far better than epic, tho epic has some otherwise unavatible games.

You wanna prove someone wrong move on bc none of what you says has anything to do with this question. As far as other sites have better well im glad you think you found something but you havent so once again move your trollin butt on. Thank you have a great day :D to the person who asked I hope you are able to figure out what you wanna do
What do you mean by easy to organise games? As far as I know, all launchers have the ability to install/uninstall games on your library, also amazon isn't a launcher so I don't know why you refer to it as such, you were comparing steam to amazon lol, Hotsauce hit the nail on the head with your list, try listing the actual benefits of using Steam next time and you won't need to post a salty reply for looking foolish :steamfacepalm:

IT ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ WORKS!

NOT LIKE THE "NOT-COMPETITION" *COUGH* Ugay, EpicFailStore, ElectronicAsshole *COUGH*

I hate these impostors and their ♥♥♥♥♥♥ "launchers"

I just want simplicity and low system loads. Not a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ Chrome browser ripoff with bad connection problems and touchscreen appeal. ♥♥♥♥ OFF YOU WANNABES!

Praise GABEN!

On another Note:
If you like your daily dose of CASUAL FREE ♥♥♥♥. Check out BlueStacks. It is rather nice for playing mobile games on your master race device. And also hassle free (provided you have a google account)
