PTT on the Index

I have a noisey home with 3 kids always screaming and a talkative wife. I always have to have my chat on mute so I dont annoy the other players but I am also missing out on my game play experience because I cant chat or contribute to the game play. When will steam add PTT?

In game or the Steam chat window? Because The Steam window does have PTT.
In your friends list window, not the actual steam desktop,
click the settings cog on top right.
Go down to "voice" on the left hand side
Look for the box that says "Voice Transmission Type"
In the box is the option for Push-to-Talk and the hotkey to set it.

I use a wireless Headset, Corsair Pro RGB, where I can move the mic up and down easily to go into mute and unmute. I have a noisy house as well and that's what helps me when I play in VR.
