It depends on the item, if the item is popular it will sell faster (look at the Steam Game Awards 2017 cards as an example) but if the item isn't popular it will sell a lot slower, so look at the items sold per day and if it's really low make the price a little bit lower than the normal price (some cents will do) so it is one of the first items to be sold. But if you see it's popular just wait.
