how low do prices get at the end of the steam sale?

hello, this is my first steam sale, and i dont know anything about it, so can someone tell me how low does GMOD usually get in the steam sales?
right now i have 4.00 USD in my steam wallet, and GMOD's normal price is 9.99 it got to 4.99, and i heard a lot of people say "NO DON'T BUY ANYTHING YET, WAIT FOR THE LAST DAY OF THE SALE" is that true?
i want an answer about this, too;
the steam sale is going to end at 2/1/2017, right? so, the last day is going to be at 1/1/2017? or does it officially end at 3/1/2017?

Sale ends Jan 2 2017. Believe the prices stick to what they are now since they changed how their sales were.

The lowest price of Garry mod was $2,49. But the prices during the winter sale won't change, all because of people are able to return their game and buy it again for a lower price, if the price change (if they meet the requirements ofcource).

Gmodd wil maybe be cheaper later on after the winter sale. Or maybe it will be in a bundle again

I would rather chose Dead rising, because you have more fun ways to kill. If you like the zombies ofcourse.

CSGO its more realistic, but gets boring sometimes, but it is not a bad game. This game needs something new.

As already mentioned, Steam no longer changes prices during sales, ala the old "flash sales." The price for a game at the beginning of a sale is going to be the price at the end of the sale.
