Specs requirements for laptops?
I recently bought a modest gaming laptop, and since I have no desktop PC, this is where all my hacking and slashing will take place.
The problem I face every time I want to buy a game, is that desktop and laptop harware are very different in terms of power, and steam doesn't seem to think about us laptop users.
So, is there an option to view laptop requirements? or an external site where I can check them? I had no luck looking for them, so any help would be very much appreciated.

What is your gpu?

Requirements are listed by developer. Not all developers will extensively test mobile hardware.

There are external sites like canirunit.com but are not really all that accurate as there are so many things on any given pc that can affect performance.

Best to do some research and figure out the closest desktop cpu/gpu equivalent to your laptop specs.

you can check on cpu and gpu requirement if they met your laptop hardware. minimum requirement should be good to run the game, although it'll run on (mostly) low graphic. most laptop today come with at least 4GB RAM, so that probably not much of the problem. the problem always lies on cpu and gpu requirement.

if it gaming laptop it should/would play most games on low or medium setting :)

A bit off-topic : I have my latop placed on an Eggtray to have better cooling.

GPU boss and notebook check are your best friends when it comes to checking the benchmarks for a laptop. For example, the 960m runs similar to the desktop equivalent 750Ti. If you wanted to measure the 860m against the 960m, type in Google 860m vs 960m.

It also depends on the optimization of the game since games are developed different engines. It is also worth mentioning that some games are CPU intensive and others are GPU intensive, open world games or city building games typically benefit the most from a better CPU.

intel i5 6300HQ
Nvidia GTX 960m 4gb
8gb DDR3L

Those are my specs, and thank you, I guess i'll just have in mind that my GPU compares to a 750Ti
