GTA 5 needs 70GB??!!

I recently added windows 10 to my mac book air, dedicating 61GB to windows yet when I went to download GTA 5off steam it said that GTA needs 70,000MB (70GB). Is there something wrong with my computer or does GTA genuinely need that much disk space. I have been unable to download GTA because of this. Please help.

That's the equivalent of having a 3.5" floppy back in the day....not nearly enough.

I just don't understand how a game can need 70GB. That's huge. GTA doesn't even need that much on PS3/4. And those are consoles.

My install of GTA takes up 73,587,949,810 bytes (that's 73 GB) and is several patches out of date.

Yes it requires space. Yes games require a lot of space. Get used to it, and get a huge freaking hard drive for gaming on PC.

Good Lord that would take like 48 hours on my Internet. I took almost a full day to download Elder Scrolls Online.

thats nothing, i just downloaded a game on my ps4 that took 73gb and its not nearly as big as gta 5..

Ark currently needs 98Gb, Titanfall 64Gb, Bf4 and Bf1 too.

Seems normal. That's why i have three SSD and two HDD.

GTA uses 50gb on PS4. Console games are often reduced in size and quality to meet certain console requirements and restrictions. PC games don't typically have those same restrictions.
