You would be correct, Internet cafes are almost non existant in US/EU. As stated most have their own computer.

Used to be more arround when internet wasn't a common thing, but not anymore when you can have connection already for 5€/month and even pubs in the countryside offer now a free wifi zone.
I don't get the logic, I think is better to save up for a own computer even a whole year, as to pay a regular fee.
When I go with friends out, most places we visit do have a free wifi, but we don't really touch games, only share some photos to Facebook or such. I prefer play games from the warmth of my house.
Here they support the small internet conenction companies. I pay now mere 7,90€/month for a unlimited connection with 12MB/s. Not a bad deal assuming how expensive it used be first.
