Can my laptop play steam games?
Hello, I am new to steam and wanted to get some games for my laptop but don't know if i am able to play steam games or not. I bought RollerCoaster Tycoon World a couple days ago and it would load up but crash. Now I am interested in buying NBA 2k17 but don't want to till I figure out if my laptop can play them. It is a HP 15 netbook pc. Windows 10. If i can't is there anyway i can possibly play on here. Aka download software or something.

ok your ram is very low maybe could only play very small low graphics games and the processor is very low to because i have an AMD FX-8350 4.2 GHz 8 core processor but im also on a desktop so may earn some money for some upgrades on that laptop and yeah you should be good but right now you can mainly only play very low graphics free games!

The processor your have is a Bay Trail-M series processor and it is designed to be power efficient for laptops, the internal clock speed is 2.16Ghz with a boost clock speed of 2.16Ghz and you are running games on an iGPU.

I will post a list to give you an idea of the type of games you can run:

Age of Empires 2 HD, this game still has an active multiplayer scene
Stardew Valley
Hotline Miami
The Escapists
Retro City Rampage
Shovel Knight
Volgarr the Viking
Shovel Knight

Any game that has very low system requirements will work well, there are many indie titles that run well on low end systems.

It’s because steam games are meant for a gaming pc or desktop. So I think it’s because the laptop is slow or it’s a very old laptop
