SPINTIRES WILL NOT LAUNCH

i use a laptop and i only play spintires so quite often i reformat the laptop to have fresh start ... i started using steam 30 days ago roughly learning alot about modding and how the computer works and files etc... so after i reinstalled windows, winrar, notepad++and spintires plus i cant get the game to launch and the things i did to try fix this is turned on debug mode after putting spintires plus files where they belong i verified integrity of game files aswell and i also unsubscribed from all spintires mods i would greatly appriciate any hints maybe im forgetting something i may need to dowload or need to edit configuration please help me....!!!!!!!

Delete and redownload maybe? Not sure i use desktop not familiar with laptop hardware and I suck with software

i tried that 3 times and i had 20 gigs of mods that kept redownloading so i unsubscibed from them to make reinstall faster until i fugure out whats going on

i believe the hardware is similar between the desktop and laptop

I recommend you ask on the games' forum. You mighg get some better help there.

Also, it has similarities. But most Laptop versions of things like GPU are less powerfull than Desktop PC.

You reformatted multiple times within these 30 days? How many times if i may ask? No reformat is needed to make a fresh start with a game.

last time i reformatted it was maybe 4 months ago and i have a usb i use to back up files but my laptop has 4 gig of ram and not the greatst graphics card so my computer needs to be set to highest performance settings and game settings need to be mid range for it to rungood and so i downloaded a ton of unneccasary files trying to figure out how to buy and install spintires then i found spintires plus and downloaded some more stuff and one day i went thru and deleted all my programs i dont use and noticed days later that i was still finding files for the programs i deletedwhich is y i reformatted it this last time the only files i want on my laptop is the files needed for or programs needed to make spintires run smooth and i activated windows afterwards if that matters and also downloaded all of the updates ..... do u think reformatting with a disk to soon may cause some king of security settings to block the game?

i did not use the usb drive to restore files because i wanted only spintires data bare minimum space taken so i downloaded steam and notepad plus plus winrar idm and spintires plus and i shut off my firewall

some youtube videos r saying d3dx_9 dll something like that which is a audio file i think but i also believe that the audio files come with spintires plus download and and when i first dowloaded the game it was a free version which failed to start but gave me the error code for the missing files i did purchase the game now aprox. 5 weeks ago and even with my audio files in the proper spintires folder it still wont launch and it isnt throwing a error code sorry for multiple post

Mwah, forget about them Youtube video's when you don't exactly know what you are looking for. To many outdated video's. + To many scammers and malware spammers especially where Steam & Steam games are involved and especially where dll's are involved. This is a double trap where one can easally fall for the wrong kind of advise. I hope you did not try to DL that .dll file from a site you don't know? Never do that, it's dangerous!

d3dx_9 is for video, not sound. If it's about a d3dx9 then the game should mention that in a message. Does it?

Did you Clear DL cache & verify the Game Files via Steam? It's easy :

• (left top corner) Steam -> (pop-up window) Settings -> (tab) Downloads -> (button) "Clear Downoad Cache"
  
• and then
  Library -> rightclick {game} -> (pop-up menu) Properties -> (pop-up window) tab "Local Files" -> (button) Verify Integrity of Game Cache Files.

i did verify files but not download cache i just disabled data execution prevention and im testing the game now which i have a good feeling about since it says its running right now when ur in the library and if this doesnt work ill clear download cache and get back to u

If needed, after clearing DL cache please reverify the Game cache files integrity, in that order.

Are your drivers up to date? If you have an older computer then say 5 years, assembling manufacturers often do not provide latest drivers for some or any component anymore. In that case you need to search for drivers at the component manufacturers website. If you don't know already, read these articles on how to update. They provide links to assembling as well as to creating manufacturers.

Even if the assembling manufacturer provides fairly new driver updates, for your videocard you'll need to go to the creators website to get the latest update.

i dont have alot of expierience with it but i know where to start looking and with links provided ill update everything and get back to u.. im runnung windows 7 home premium and i had alot of trouble finding proper drivers for my wired xbox one controller and i think when i was troubleshooting the controller issues windows had updated windows 7 to accept the xbox 1 controller as windows 10 does automatically but im gonna start investigating the drivers i really apprieciate all the tips
