CS Global Offensive: Downloading maps on MAC

When I try to get in a server and I don have the map, instead of download it automatically, it just says "missing map". Do I have to set something up on my mac to allow the game download the missing maps??

Try different server with the same map.
Or just go download the map through http://gamebanana.com/csgo/maps

the problem is, I have no idea where the files are. Do you know th directory where the file cstrike are, on MAC?

I dont have a Mac but i think it is "~/Library/Application Support/Steam/SteamApps/common/Counter-Strike Global Offensive/csgo/maps" if im not wrong

There is no Steam inside Application Suport, but a few files.

I don't know then, just make a Map and File search on the Mac not harder than that.

You can't see Apllication Support because you're a lion user o higher so you have to click on Finder the un Go in up and click on "Go to" then type ~Library you you will find Application Support

I guess that tool "Go to"is not working. it not finding even my personal files

You can also hold down the Option key and click on the Go menu and then click on Library. The path suggested by Restore is absolutely correct.

why the hell should i have to manually download my maps into my folder, its 2013 why is not automatic?? whats the hold up? we got highschool kids running steam now days?

Application Support -> Steam -> SteamApps -> Common -> Counter Strike Global Offensive -> maps (drop the bsp file in there)
