and does that mean upgrade the entire operating system or just "patch" it?
euromikeym, I dont know, nor how to find out, im not exactly a wizard with my comp(mac).
Thanks for the replies peeps :)
In regard to if this means patching vs an OS upgrade, it's an os upgrade. but os upgrades on the mac side are far less painful than with windows, especially going from 10.6 to 10.8. it would be wise to backup via time machine before proceeding however. Also if you have any old apps not updated for intel processors, they won't work in 10.7+, the most common ones are office 2004 and old blizzard games.
can you post your mac's model identifier? http://www.everymac.com/mac-identification/where-to-find-apple-model-identifiers-model-id-machine-model-for-identification.html
Thanks a bunch for the help Bond!
Good Idea! You may also see performance improvements in other games, as 10.8's graphics drivers are much improved over 10.6.8. Do note that 10.9 Maverick's release is suppose to be this fall if you wanted to hold out for that. It will most likely retail for $20 (same as ML) so it's not too much of a loss if you upgrade now.
upgrade system is really worth trying.
