No Video in Greenlight?

Hey folks - I've been looking at a couple games listed on Greenlight, and for all of them I can get sound from the videos, but the actual video portion stays black. Any idea what's going on?

Oh, yes, and still crashes the whole mac, when one tries to enter full screen mode (flash movie player). Client, Build 25 2014, 13:48:49, Steam API: v013. This is still an issue.

I've got the same problem. Hope it's going to be solved soon. It really spoils greenlight for me.

Hi guys! I had this problem last night as well, and I found a solution (hopefully it'll work for you as well!)

I was not getting any videos to show in Greenlight, and some of my games would white screen when I booted them up. I tried updating flash, but that didn't help.

So, I fixed it by going into my mac;s System preferences, clicking on "Security and Privacy", then selecting the privacy tab, selecting "Accessibility," and deselecting the Steam icon under "Allow the apps below to control your computer." After I took this permission away, my problem cleared up and the videos began to play.

This option is a Maverick (10.9.x) option, it does not exist in 10.8.x or earlier.

Same problem for me. The video starts playing and I can hear the audio but there are no video, just a black screen.
I'm on OSX 10.8.4 with up to date Flash Player.

i have the same issue, but i am on 10.7.5 any ideas?

Steam support said (after they had me try 5-6 different "solutions") that the problem is with the latest versions of Flash and they are investigating it, they suggested downgrading to Flash 11, if anyone want to try that.

However, for some reason, it does look like it works for me now with Flash 13.

Sorry to necro this thread but I'm having this issue. No videos during greenlight, just black screen as video plays. Sound is OK.

Front page videos are fine.

Did anyone find out a solution?

*** I have flash installed, there is no option for "other browsers" anymore. We're on Flash version 18

I'm on Mac Yosemite and I don't have the prob anymore. But I don't know what fixed it -.- sry

This issue has now mysteriously been fixed for me. I suspect (as someone else on this thread pointed out) that it may have been an issue with the (at the time) current version of Flash. The newest Flash update seems to have solved it. So to anyone who still has this issue, make sure your Flash Player is up to date!

Just experienced the no-greenlight video issue. Flash Player has been updated, bust still no video (Sound only). I'm also not seeing the greenlight videos if I try to follow the links to youTube (even though other non-related videos run fine).
