I'll take it you are new to Steam and got here in the first place because you heard it could run Mac games. And while this is true, it does not mean EVERY game on the store can be run on Mac. In fact, only a few can.
To clarify: Scribblenauts Unlimited is a PC only game on Steam for the moment. Maybe there will be a Mac port, maybe there won't, but for now there is none. If you check out the store page ( ) you will see that right above the price and "add to cart" button, there is a windows icon. This is what tell you what kind of computer you need to run this game.
Generally, Mac games are featured as "SteamPlay" games. Here is an exemple:
As to how to know when a game is gonna be SteamPlay...well, there is no really efficient way to predict it. Valve usually tries to port all of its games to Mac (even Linux recently). Some other editors two. But you have to keep in mind that it takes time and money to make a Mac port, and right now, the Mac gaming market is not strong enough that all editors are willing to take this step.
Until then, you can browse the Mac games available from Steam on the main store page. If you don't know it already, check out Portal, the one I linked. It's really good.
I hope this helps. Happy gaming!
It is only available for iOS and iPadOS, so iPhone and iPad only.
