Got a Macbook myself (for work) So im not a complete windows fanboy in fact i don't really support any kind of operating systems... That sounded nerdy.
But i don't think it'll happen unless 40% of the Mac community is gonna game.
i can give you two reasons on why they might not consider it just yet.
Mac OS has a big fanbase. But i don't think many uses Apple's computers as a gaming machine or they didn't have gaming in their mind then they bought one. I bought my Macbook for work. So not a lot of profit is to be made from Apple's OS. I think the bigger developers don't give a cr*p about Mac because it won't bring them in just as much as consoles and the PC community does.
Besides i think the development cost for Mac is not worth their time vs the income they probably has predicted. If there was a lot of profit to be made on the Mac community, then you would see the next Cod title for mac os next year or some other big mainstream game.
Cod Black ops is actually out for Mac.
2. I think the programming is harder to do, maybe more time consuming. Besides Apples machines aren't known for being the best computers for gaming. Only thing they have going for them is it looks and it's operating system. But else nothing. I don't know if it's possible to change parts on the desktop version (Probably is) But the games in the future (Indie, Call of Duty, and Dota is an exception) Is gonna require much more power.
I could imagine alot of people raging at either Steam forums (If it's available on Steam) or rage at the developers for having bad optimization. I can predict the messages they would get
"My desktop i bought from apple store doesen't run this game smooth. Why?? It has cost me 3159 dollars and won't run this game on full graphiz!!! Omgz!!!
On the bright site you got Team Fotress 2 and some of the Counter-Strike games And half life 2 Great games.
Besides Directx as many games use today is not supported for the Mac OS as far as i know that would make developers spend more money and time on finding another way of programming for the mac. Which further outweight the profit made from the game on the mac.
macs are JUST as good
Depends on what kind of hardware you upgrade it with or pre order it with.
Because a standard Mac desktop usually comes with garbage hardware. If you build it custom. Well then it can become a good rig.
Just overpriced as sh!t. Same story goes for Alienware. You pay for the brand.
Ouch. 3,799.00$ for the best computer they have. I can only imagine what kind of computer I could build if I had 3,799.00$. >_>
You could build 3 gaming rigs. With each of them with the new GTX Titan xD
