You've got to understand, it's not as simple as how you make it out to be. Ideally you'd think a company like Gearbox would get Aspyr the patch ahead of time so that they could release it at the same time. But this sort of quick relay between original dev and Mac dev rarely (if ever) happens. Usually a patch is released for PC, THEN it is handed to the Mac devs, then they have to get it working and test it, THEN it has to go back to the original dev for "approval," which can take a week or two because, and this is just my opinion, it seems like Mac gamers are lower priority to them. So if you want to blame somebody for the sync issues, Gearbox is who you should point your finger at first and foremost.
Aspyr's a good company and they bust their butts trying to get great games on the Mac, so it's a bummer to see everybody take all this Steamplay frustration out on them, when in fact very little of the timing on these patch releases is even in their control.
