Steam Folder Missing (not in application support)
Hello,

I would like to mod Crusader Kings 2 but the steam folder is missing, I can see the library and application support folders but there is no steam folder.
I would really appreciate some help

Finder > Library > Application Support > Steam > Steam Apps > Common > Game of your choice.

That should be the way to find it, but from what I read above, you can't find the Steam folder in the Application Support? If that's the case, I don't know how to help.

yeah its not there :)
/Users/XXX/Library/Application Support/Steam
go to Finder, choose "Go" in the top menu, hold the button "Alt," press to "Library", then "Application Support" > "Steam"
Just to clarify, most likely the issue is you are looking at the system library, rather than the user library.

Another way to see it is to select Go from the top menu, then 'Go to folder..' and type ~/library

I know I'm looking at the right location because I used the application support folder before for some other application. But the steam folder isn't there.
I get the exact same problem. It was here literally a few weeks ago, exactly the same spot, now bam, it's disappeared. I dunno if it's accidentally been hidden or what, but theres a map I want to delete for CS:GO as it didn't download from the server properly and now I can't :S

I actually found the folder, it was hidden for some reason and used grandperspective to scan all the folders and stumbled on it.
I tried to unhide all files in terminal but nothing turned up, I'm guessing it might not work for folders as well. But thanks, I'll try that :)
Open Steam's preferences (Steam> Preferences), then click the 'Downloads + Cloud' tab. From there, click the 'Steam Library Folders' button and it will tell you where the folder is.

make sure that the applciation Steam is on your desktop, then right click on it > show paackage content > Mac
in the Mac folder you should be able to find the Steam folder.
Choose the "Go to Folder" option and type the following without the parenthesis (/Users/*your computer account name*/Library). If this doesn't work, let me know...
this is really old and is resolved. No need to birng it back up. Problem was, when updating operating system, OS X has become a pain in the backside with libraries.
