GMod, Portal, and TF2, cant find background image materials/console/... error
Im having some trouble loading Gmod, Portal, and TF2, i get this error "cant find background image materials/console/..." i have all my Steam games saved on an external HDD, and steam saved there as well, and i have a sybolic link between where ive saved my games, and the steam folder in applications support, ive been digging through the forums but cant find anything....help would be great, perhaps im missing something.

I have the same issue with Portal (haven't tried anything else) and almost the same setup except I have only the games on an external drive.
