*BUG* Selecting Age Crashes Steam
2024 14" M4 Macbook Pro 16 GB, 1 TB. When i go to library>bladur's gate 3>store page>select age no matter what i do i get the infinite spinning beach ball. I have to force quit the app. Not sure what is causing this but when i select either year or month it just crashes.

Same on 2014 Mac Mini but without spinning beach ball or crash. Steam window disappears for a few seconds, then reappears on main store page. All three of day, year and month have the same outcome, for any store page requiring age verification.

2014.

On my 2020 M1 MacBook Air the bug is the same as yours -- spinning beach ball, need to force quit Steam.

Same on 2019 iMac running 15.1

No spinning ball, but Steam window disappears and then reappears after a few seconds. Occurs on all 3 drop-date date fields (month, day, year). Obvious solutions - restart computer, check for update, restart app, log out & log back in - don't fix the problem.

Problem does not occur accessing Steam through web browser, so there is at least a workaround.

Extremely annoying that Steam forces you to constantly enter your birthday, anyway. How hard would it be for the app to access local cookie instead of constantly asking? Or allow users to turn off this "feature"?

Q: Why do you KEEP asking my damn age throughout the store?

A: We're with you on this. Unfortunately, many rating agencies have rules that stipulate that we cannot save your age for longer than a single browsing session. It's frustrating, but know we're filling out those age gates too.

Nice one, very quick action to fix a minor bug.

Does the fix also fix the Steam app search's Relevance/Time selector? It has the same bug.
